Within Cragmaw Castle

Ok, I’m going to write these notes trying to remember from a few weeks ago. I think I remember most of the main details but perhaps not how many times Azrial almost dies. ;)

Anyways, lets start. When the previous session ended the party was next to a door that had been investigated and found that some goblin voices were in the room. Using the Seeing object Azrial saw a priest Goblin. The party decided to take the long way round and move through towards the south and through the kitchens. The party encountered a few goblins who didn’t stand much of a chance against the party. Azrial then ran through like the scamp he is and came face to face with a trio of Hobgoblins with crossbows. I think this was the first time Azrial almost died in this session. ;) the party join Azrial and dispatched the Hobgoblins. Looking around they moved back towards the west towards where the goblin priest was located. But as they moved through the room they were attacked by a massive pair of Grick. After a tough battle the Blades of the forgotten were victorious. Moving back to where they started the day the party attacked the priest and two followers. It was a surprise to the goblins but not as much of a surprise as the candle hitting the bag of Black powder.

KABOOM!

Everyone in the room were rocked (And I think Azrial almost died here as well) While in the doorway the heavily armoured Victor was shot out of the room into poor Desmond. Many Healings and potions were used as the party tried to recover from the blast. Finding the leaver for the metal doors the party headed east towards a door they hadn’t investigated. There was no sound from the door and no matter what the party tried they couldn’t pick, Kick or worry the door. This door was special, I was a door of legend. It stood against 6 warriors without taking a scratch. Until something told Desmond (druid craft it) and he used his druid craft to buckle the door and allow access to another room. The party moved south and discovered a captured Owlbear that was being held captive. The party fed the owlbear and it left them in peace (lucky for them).

That’s where I ended it for the night. (I think)
