Once again from memory and a little help from the Roll 20 site and the book.
Following the release of the Owlbear the party head back and find a door to the west that they hadn’t investigated. They heard a conversation about a map and a dwarf. With this information the party stormed the room and found a Drow woman arguing with a large old Bugbear and its pet wolf.
As the party rush in the party attack the trio, Quickly killing the wolf before it can even attack as bugbear (King Grol) and the Drow (Vyerithe) respond to the attacking party. It’s a long fight and the Drow shows powers that don’t seem to fit what a true Drow can do. The Bugbear unleashes many attacks against Victor but with his armour hardly any hit for a solid blow. For sometime it seems to be stale mate as the party and enemies attack and avoid attacks. Until someone gets a good hit on the Drow and cause something strange to happen, The form of the Drow shakes and shows that it isn’t really a Drow but a Doppleganger. It transforms into a Goliath Barbarian and continues to attack the party with its much larger size and strength. After some time the party manage to hit the killing blows and the Doppleganger and the bugbear fall dead.
It was at this time a noise was heard from a small room that adjoined the throne room. The party ignored this. The sound of dice was heard rolling… the party ignored this as well. An ethereal voice was heard to count some numbers on the wind. The party thought something was up. The party then opened the door and found a dead dwarf laying on the floor, He had only just died as the party had heard it’s last breaths. Luckily in the OwlBear room the party found a ‘scroll of revivify’ This brought back the dwarf and they found it was one of the dwarven brothers Gundren Rockseeker, The Dwarf who set you on this path.
That is where I ended this session.
