Into the Forest

As the party left the city of Neverwinter they left a few of their party there, Desmond was left in a library but was informed that the party had gone, He just needed to write down some recipes for tonics and potions.

As Astrid completed reading her book she decided to start training her owl. It was a fun time and as she could now explain things it was able to learn very quickly. She decided to try something new to the owl. She said the magic word to grow the owl, she gently grabbed onto the back of the owl, but as the owls new form is so new to it and having a creature that it know is much bigger then it is, it panicked. Taking off at top speed with Astrid on its back the owl gained altitude and fled to the north. After a few seconds the owl and Astrid were out of sight…

After a few hours of searching for Astrid and the Owl the party decide to continue their journey towards Cragmaw. The party continue across the grasslands and reach the outskirts of the large forest that surrounds Cragmaw Castle. After a few days of travel the party make camp. (Without setting up anyone to watch… Bad party) While everyone sleeps the party are attacked by a horde of orcs and a massive scarred Ogre. As the enemies attacked everyone awoke and took battle to the monstrous horde Azrial was almost killed thanks to a javelin from the ogre but the party manage to defeat the enemies after a long fought battle with the assistance of Desmond who arrived late in the fight.

Once the Orcs and Ogre were defeated the party with desmonds help manage to druid craft and levitate victor into the trees for the rest of the night to rest. While everyone slept a large bear smelling the dead orcs and ogre dragged away the corpses.

In the morning the party restarted their trek towards Cragmaw. It was then the party were attacked once again, this time by a large pack of wolves and a pair of dire wolves. They surrounded the party and attacked. But as quick as they attacked they vanished into the forest as an ominous drumming is sounded around the forest. After some investigation the sound of Orcish war drums flows through the forest.
