The Shopping Episode

This was a very quiet week, the party return to Neverwinter after the trials and tribulations in Thundertree. The party takes a week to travel towards Neverwinter and they make good time and don’t encounter any problems heading towards the city. The party takes rooms in the Tin Pot Inn, at 7pm the party decides to do a little shopping as they head towards Grims Magical Emporium.

Everything was pretty expensive there was a lot of produce in the store and the party took quite a while to buying and selling. After 4 hours of shopping the party leave the shop, strangely the party leaves with some epic items and a lot of coin jingling in their pockets. Astrid bought a book that allows her to use the magic spell ‘Speak with Animals’ she had to read the book for 48 hours over 6 days)

At 11pm the party leave the store, while walking towards the inn the party are attacked. From out of nowhere Victor falls to the ground unconscious. Looking around Kal sees someone in a nearby ally, But it doesn’t help much as an arrow tipped with a bag tipped with lead shot strikes him in the forehead and knocks the bard unconscious. Pfenix runs in and takes on the pair of robbers, Thorin revives Kal and Kal revives Victor. While the party demolishes the robbers Pfenix is knocked unconscious. The Robbers are then dispatched, one with a timely mace to a head while the other died from blood loss. (Thanks Laz, I'm so racist, Victor and Thorin just look the same to me. :)

The party calls the guard and the guard investigates the scene and informs the party that they should return to their lodgings and they will be spoken to in the morning. When the party awake they meet the guard they spoke to and he tells them that the robbers were known to the guards and that the party was free to get on their way. The party head towards the smithy, Buy some ammunition a crossbow. Then they move towards the general store and buy rations and some water for their trip.

The party stay in the city for the next few days while Astrid reads her book. When Astrid only had 12 hours to read within two days, the party start to head towards Cragmaw Castle.
