With the Redbrands once and for all dealt with the party now make their way back to the Inn for a well-earned rest. Everyone had an after midnight meal and went to bed. Desmond made his way back to the forest to rest in the trees. As the sun came up the party awoke, everyone came down to have a meal at the inn, Desmond returned to the inn to join in an early breakfast. Azrial falls ill and is unable to join the party. A number of chamber pots are used and lots of parchment was taken to his room. The sounds of groaning and sometimes praying to deities were heard to stop the ‘Flow’ :).
The inn keeper doesn’t know what has taken place as he wasn’t on duty when the Smith and the young family returned to the inn. When the smith returned to the Inn there was rejoicing as Dara and her Husband reunited and for about an hour at midnight the Smith discussed with his wife and the land lady what happened and what the party did to help him and the family to escape. It was decided that the family would join the smithy and his wife for now until they could be taken back home. When the party returns the land lady didn’t want to disturb them as they seemed a little worse for wear. In the morning however the once informed by his wife the inn keeper an out of the inn to tell the town what has happened and the downfall of the Redbrands.
Then Inn keeper informs the party that there would be a celebration tonight to congratulate and thank the party for what they have done for the town. The local orchard owner, hearing the news of the fall of the Redbrands comes to the Inn to congratulate the Party. Daran Edermath is around 80 years old and for the past five years has been with his family in his apple orchard to the north of town. He spends a long time bending the ears of the members of the party and discussing his past adventures. In passing he tells the party about a few things –
Old Owl Well – Ancient ruins of a guard post to the far northeast of town, He’s heard from a contact that someone has made camp at the ruins, This isn’t too strange but his informant has also told him that he undead have been seen in the area as well. He was last seen around the ruins of the abandoned city of Thundertree to the north near Neverwinter.
Reidoth the Druid is a historian that has travelled every inch of the local area, if the party need information on where to find something then he’s the follow to talk too.
After a rude story about a troll turning to stone and a body part that’s left in his hand he laughs and leaves the party. The Inn Keeper informs the party that the story might be true because above the fireplace of Daran is a very strange looking lump of rock.
The party decide to seek the advice of Sildar and to inform him that the person who he was looking for Inaro was also Glass Staff and that he was dead. Sildar was shocked at the news but was more concerned that the Lords Alliance allowed this to happen. He confirms the information about the druid that knows the area well. He also gave a map to the party that shows where Old Owl Well was located, not to the north, but to the northeast.

The party leave Sildar and the party split up, Kal and Pfenix head to the miners exchange to deliver the paperwork to Hilia as requested. She pays Kal and Pfenix 100GP. Stoney faced Hilia informs Kal and Pfenix that she will be leaving, things doesn’t feel right to the pair and things fit into place. The pair consider everything and feel that the reason why she wanted the paperwork was that she wishes to take over the Redbrand operation. She leave the town right away to an unknown location.
Astrid, Desmond and Victor(y) go to the smithy and before they know it are enveloped in the worlds largest hug. Dara the Tanner/Smiths wife shows her gratitude for all they have done by giving them items from the shop, Astrid received some long thick leather gauntlets, Desmond received a set of hide armour and Desmond commissioned a Cloak made out of the hide of the Dire Wolf. When Kal and Pfenix arrived they also received the world’s best hug as she gives a small brass trumpet to Kal.
The Party head back to the inn and as they enter the common room they hear a noise that sounds like Tiamat has landed in front of them. But it was the sound of the whole town there to celebrate the deeds of the party. Drinking took place, No one got too drunk and a good time was had by all. A small Arm Wrestling contest took place, And with a few bruises and pulled arms, Victor(y) was awarded and named champion. In the darts game, Astrid showed her skill as she blew away the other contestants. Both champions received 10 gp’s each.
In the morning the party went shopping, A few items were restocked and some bags were bought. Then everyone decided to hit the trail and go towards Thundertree.

As the
long days and nights pass the party walk confidently through the grasslands of the Neverwinter region, One night the party are attacked by a small flock of blood sucking Stirges, After fighting them off the party continue their path towards Thundertree. A few days later much closer to their destination they are attacked by an enraged Owlbear. With Astrids perception they manage to see the bears approach and launch a volley of spells and ballistic towards the Owlbear, It almost doesn’t get an attack as the party kill the Owlbear without much problem (and such bad luck with my roll).
As it comes to the last day the party look down on the ruins of a once great town, the town of Thundertree, Everyone looks around but Victor(y) perhaps with his Divine aura looks further then the others as he sees undead beings walking around the town below. The Party are one day from the main entrance of the town…
What will happen next, Find out next week.
