Can't slap a sleeping Redbrand.

Not a bad night, Things got moving a bit. :)

The party after the conflict with the Dire Wolf decided to return to the inn to rest and recover from their battle.
Victor returned from his mysterious mission with a bag full of gifts for the party. The bag contained 6 presents, once for each of the party
Azrial – 60 – A Glass Eye – Once a month the user can see through anything within the distance of 100ft. Once used the eye cannot be used for another 30 days.
Astrid – 71 – A fragment of a beautiful song, written as musical notes on two pieces of parchment – This is a Scroll of Growth, A once use item, When the user sings this sing from the sheet they will cause plants to grow at an accelerated rate. Everything within a 2 mile radius will grow 6 months growth. Can be sold.
Desmond – 80 – A bronze pentacle with an etching of a rat’s head in its centre. While holding the pentacle in the palm of their hand the user can sense the emotions and feelings of rodents that the user can see.
Kal – 45 - A tiny chest carved to look like it has numerous feet on the bottom. When you look at the box sometimes the feel look as if they are moving. One time spell, Transmutation, Inserting an item into the box will transform it to platinum. There is more magic in the chest but as yet undiscovered.
Pfenix – 73 – The shell of an egg painted with scenes of human misery in disturbing detail. The egg shell is very disturbing. Almost as if the scenes are real and did happen. Also while the user holds the egg in its hand once per month they are able to see in one direction 500ft away. The player looks in a direction while concentrating on the egg then they see in their mind the trail moving directly 500ft ahead. If the player moves they lose the spell. The egg can only be used once every 30 days.
Victor – 65 – A nightcap that, when worn, gives you pleasant dreams. It also makes the wearer immune to mental or psyonic attacks against the player while they sleep while wearing the cap.
The Party talk to Sildar and discover that his friend Inaro went missing in the same forest as the hole two months ago. He also heard a rumour that the Redgrands has a goblin that knows where Cragmaw Castle is located. Cragmaw is where his equipment and the rockseeker brother was taken. Also a map to where the Phandelver mine is located.
The party spoke to Halia Thornton in the Miner’s Exchange she showed that she hates the rebrand ‘scum’ She gave the party the following information
The leader of the Redbrands is called GlassStaff and he is a wizard
The hideout for the Redbrands is under the ruins of Tresender Manor
Halia offered the party a reward if they can kill GlassStaff and bring her any paperwork they find in his quarters. She suggested that the party should investigate the Sleeping Giant Inn as she knows only 4 Redbrands sat there at one time.
Following a brief visit to the general store the party decide to head towards the Sleeping Giant Inn.
After some good sneaking rolls the party get in close to the Sleeping Giant Inn, They see three Redbrands and a larger Redbrand squad leader. The Party then tried to get in even closer but following a brief trip the party was discovered. The Redbrands attack.
Kal performs an epic ‘Sleep’ spell that the DM doesn’t understand. ;) And knocks out a redbrand. The Squad leader attacks the party and combat ensues. Another redbrand attacks Azrial and knocks the Wizard out. Desmond tries to patch the wizard up, But is unsuccessful, Instead he turns around and grants healing on Pfenix. Victor turns around and lays on hands on Azrial and revives the wizard. Then with some great luck and some good teamwork buy making sure that everyone around would have disadvantage on attacks against Azrial he makes his escape. Astrid snipes and slices two of the redbrands down with ease while Victor bypasses the armour of the Squad Leader and stabs him through his chest. Leaving one of the Redbrands asleep from Kal’s spell.
The party decide to take the bodies and the sleeping redbrands into the inn, Kal and Astrid search the bar and upstairs discovering an expensive bottle of wine, some sheets and a tiny bag of holding (Kal and Astrid only know about the bag) The bag holds 100lbs of items but weighs only 3lbs. There may be more items in the bag; at the moment they only know that there is a broom in the bag.
The party tries to slap the sleeping redbrand awake, And following a epic slap fight between Azrial and Desmond (No one won that, But most of all, sanity lost :) Following what seemed to be the DnD version of Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Bad Acting Cop. :) The party discovered that there were around 10 redbrands around (not including the group the party already dispatched.), some monsters were sent from the north to help GlassStaff, He was afraid of them. They were covered with fur but the party have no idea what they are. And there is another monster that he doesn’t know about.
The party decide to take the prisoner back to the Sildar. But as soon as they leave the inn the redbrand starts screaming. Kal takes the only action he can do, He inserts his knife to stop the screaming. The Party place the body in the inn.
